We are looking for a skilled and resourceful Communications and Business Development Coordinator to grow alongside us. We intend for you to play a critical role in enhancing our client's reputation and image through effective communication strategies and targeted public relations efforts. **Responsibilities**:
1. Build and maintain positive relationships with media contacts, influencers, and key stakeholders to secure media coverage and maximum brand exposure for our clients.

2. Plan and coordinate media events, news conferences, and product launches to generate positive media coverage for our clients.

3. Monitor and measure media coverage and social media conversations using various analytics tools as required by clients. Prepare written summaries of successful campaigns for clients and to be used as Solv case studies.

4. Assist in media and crisis communications training to build your skills and confidence so that you can lead training programs/workshops on your own.

5. Contribute to the creation of engaging content for Solv’s various channels, including press releases, articles, blog posts, social media posts, and website content.

6. Develop a strategic approach to pursuing and securing new communications clients on a weekly basis. Track all client engagement in Solv’s CRM system. Continually build trusting relationships with existing and new clients.

7. Liaise and provide strategic advice with clients regarding reputation management, generating positive publicity and other PR solutions.

8. Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging communication technologies

**Communications and Business Development Required Skills**
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complex information into clear and concise messages.
- Experience in crisis communications and reputation management.
- Understanding of media relations and experience in building and maintaining relationships with journalists and influencers.
- Proficient in social media management. Strong storytelling and content creation abilities, with a keen eye for detail and creativity.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously, adhering to tight deadlines. Work well independently and as a strong contributor of the team.
- Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate and build relationships. Sales skills ARE people skills. The ability to persuade and promote is an essential aspect of this role.
- Proficient in using analytics tools to measure and analyze the effectiveness of communication efforts and make data-driven decisions.
- Familiarity with crisis communication management and the ability to handle sensitive and high-pressure situations with professionalism, discretion and composure.

**Required Qualifications**
- Strong portfolio showcasing excellent written and verbal communication skills, including press releases, articles, and social media content.
- Proficiency in using communication and collaboration tools, such as Microsoft Office Suite, CRM system, and social media management tools.
- Ability and drive to approach prospective clients to assist in growing Solv’s scope and depth. Solid organizational skills in tracking prospects through the sales lifecycle.
- Knowledge of SEO principles and best practices in content optimization for search engines is a plus.
- Experience in crisis communication management is highly desirable.
- Professional certifications in Communications or Public Relations are a plus.
