- In this role, you will: _
- Work with the ILS Program Manager to plan and execute the delivery of In-Service Support activities in accordance with Marine ISS best practice and the VISSC Performance Work Statement.
- Help drive the development of Babcock’s Marine ILS capability to one that is recognized as ‘Best In Industry’ for Canada and then working with the ILS Program Manager to ensure the day to day execution of Babcock’s Marine ILS function delivers to a standard that meets or exceeds the requirements of the Marine ISS contracts Babcock is required to deliver.
- Help manage Babcock Canada’s Marine ILS capability to improve the safe availability of Marine assets while lowering the Total Cost of Ownership to their customers. This will be achieved through the employment of RAMS (Reliability Availability, Maintainability, and Safety) methodologies. As an indication, the capability will deliver the following functions:

- Management of Configuration Baselines.
- Maintenance Optimization.
- Maintenance Planning.
- Logistics Supportability Analysis (LSA).
- Document Configuration Management.
- Obsolescence Management.
- Effectively manage the resources allocated to ILS in our matrix organisation, influencing and leading team members.
- Determine appropriate governance arrangements including identification and monitoring of risks, planning, and implementing responses to these.
- Build consensus among cross-functional team members and balance multiple, concurrent priorities.
- Work closely and collaboratively with government and non-government stakeholders, managing geographically dispersed relationships.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders across Engineering, Commercial, Finance and Supply Chain to resolve a range of complex issues and identify external dependencies.
- Be adept at presenting detailed information concisely and appropriately tailored to various audiences.
- Work independently, demonstrate initiative, and exercise superior judgement in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- A recognized University Degree or College diploma in Engineering, Project Management or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 8 plus years’ experience in successfully managing projects with multiple stakeholders, preferably within the Naval or Marine sector.
- A working knowledge of MEPM (SM) Sustainment Operations.
- Positivity, resilience, and is a focused individual.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
- Proof that you are fully vaccinated against COVID-19, meaning that you must have received the full series of a COVID-19 vaccine approved by the Government of Canada with the final dose at least 14 days pri
