Reporting to: Manager, Cargo & Ramp
- Non-Bargaining

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Must be able to perform, but not be limited to, the following duties and responsibilities:_
- Provide oversight to flight operations and ensures cargo agents team are performing their tasks in accordance with regulatory company and customer requirements;
- Responsible to ensure the cargo agents team are compliant with trainings (e.g. safety, regulatory trainings, departmental, equipment, security, Dangerous Goods handling, Dangerous Goods Acceptance, Skyline;
- Responsible to oversee and assist the day to day freight inventory, Daily SLA, Priority shipment, inventory Control and bin checks and the NND paperwork completion;
- Provide leadership and direction during regular and irregular operations to the Cargo Agents team;
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure customer satisfaction and on time performance;
- Provides support functions, including, but not limited to, training, assignments, uniform adherence and supervise the cargo agent team with the flow of cargo concerns and queries;
- Responsible to review all daily sales reports and high value shipments;
- Provide support and assistance to the coordinators team to coordinate flight manifesting;
- Conducts initial and recurrent training programs specific to cargo agent;
- Support with development and implementation of SOP's, processes, safety initiatives, employee communications;
- Work with the Ramp and Cargo Manager to complete internal and third party audits such as the WestJet Cargo Contract;
- Other duties as assigned.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

- Include, but not limited to, the following minimum skills and qualifications:_
- Minimum two (2) years of experience;
- High School Diploma or equivalent;
- Fully proficient Computer Skills (MS Office);
- Extensive operating knowledge of Skyline;
- Extensive knowledge of SLA, inventory Control, bin checks, Airway bills submission, priority shipment;
- Demonstrated operational experience of 3-5 years in all cargo agent daily checklists;
- Must be able to completed the requirements for certification in Dangerous Goods handling and Dangerous Goods Acceptance;
- Commitment to excellent internal and external customer service;
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manager multiple priorities and deadlines;
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and spoken);
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to coach and motivate others;
- Experience supervising in a unionized environment (preferred);
- Valid Driver's license is required;
- Ability to obtain and retain an Airport Restricted Identity Card in accordance with the Airport Restricted Area Access Clearance Program regulated by Transport Canada.
