The Content & Social Media Specialist, reporting to the Digital Marketing & Communication Manager, is a highly motivated, creative and passionate member of the Marketing team. They will assist the Digital Marketing & Communications Manager in engaging online followers, external stakeholders and conversations and developing leads and sales while communicating the company’s brand in a positive, authentic way.

**PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONS & OBJECTIVES**
- **Copy and Content Development**_
- Write compelling copy for various media (social, website, print) through creative and strategic storytelling in adherence with brand guidelines
- Maintain an editorial calendar and contribute ideas to overall content and social media strategy; you will be a strong advocate for deadlines
- Assist the Digital Marketing & Communication Manager and other key stakeholders with internal and external communications requests
- Take ownership of monthly company newsletter
- Work with other members of the digital marketing team to build a blog content strategy and produce engaging blogs on a consistent basis
- Collaborate with internal and external creative teams (photographers, graphic designers) on content creation for various campaigns
- Organize and manage content into a user-friendly library for Marketing department
- Work with all members of Marketing department to maintain internal documents, including but not limited to Standard Operating Procedures, policies, contracts
- Assist the Marketing team with content needs for the annual catalogue and provide curated photographs for use in the catalogue

- Take ownership of social media planning and develop and execute the company’s social media strategy
- Build a content calendar for Instagram, Pinterest, Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter, and implement the social media plan with engaging, informative and on-brand organic content and creatives
- Create video content for use on various social channels
- Work closely with the Digital Marketing & Communications Manager to manage the influencer program and contribute to earned media mentions
- Engage with the design community online and identify SUNPAN products featured on other channels; curate third-party images for social media
- Plan and execute paid advertising campaigns to support sales promotions and drive engagement
- Monitor and analyze social media and community engagement metrics to optimize performance
- Monitor and understand competitor social media and communication strategies; provide reports of trending tactics
- **Media Relations**_
- Grow and maintain relationships with journalists and key stakeholders to ensure increased coverage for SUNPAN in trade and mainstream media outlets
- Write, edit and proofread press releases on major company announcements and distribute them to trade publications
- Respond to journalist enquiries in a timely manner and facilitate interviews with internal team leaders
- Collaborate with teams to ensure timely submissions for product feature requests
- Compile news coverage about SUNPAN and share with internal stakeholders

**REQUIREMENTS**
- Post-secondary degree in Communications, Public Relations, Creative Writing, Business or Journalism. Meta digital marketing and community management an asset.
- 2+ years of experience in copywriting or content marketing
- Communication skills: Must exhibit exemplary writing and editing skills. **Please include a link to your portfolio.**:

- Passion for content creation and storytelling
- natural storyteller and strategist with an demonstrated understanding of tone and voice in copy
- Proficient in Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest and LinkedIn marketing
- Experience creating video content on social media
- Experience with digital analytics
- Consistent track record of audience growth and social media engagement
- Fluency with using Canva or Adobe Creative Suite
- Organization and time management skills are a must: This role will be responsible for a series of projects and will require strong attention to detail
- Must display professionalism and collaborative attitude: This role will be working with cross-functional departments and external stakeholders
- Possess strong understanding and experience in B2B marketing
- Familiarity with social media scheduling tools
- Paid Social Ads experience is an asset
- Experience with influencer marketing is an asset
- Familiarity with Asana (nice to have)
