Social Media Specialist

**About Us**:
Yatai is a dynamic and innovative Asian restaurant located at the CNE in the Food Building. We are seeking a talented and creative Social Media Specialist to join our team and help us maintain a strong online presence and engage with our audience.
**Responsibilities**:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy that aligns with the company's goals and brand identity.
- Create, curate, and manage engaging content across various social media platforms, including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, and TikTok.
- Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and mentions on social media, fostering positive interactions and addressing customer inquiries and concerns.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to coordinate social media content with ongoing campaigns and promotions.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and social media best practices to continuously improve the company's online presence.
- Analyze social media metrics and prepare regular reports to measure the effectiveness of campaigns and make data-driven recommendations for improvements.
- Explore and implement new and innovative ways to expand the company's social media reach and engagement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Proven experience as a Social Media Specialist or similar role, with a strong portfolio showcasing successful social media campaigns.
- In-depth knowledge of various social media platforms, their respective audiences, and best practices for each.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a keen eye for detail and a creative flair.
- Proficiency in using social media management tools and analytics platforms.
- Strong understanding of branding and the ability to maintain a consistent brand voice across all social media channels.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with graphic design, video editing, or photography is a plus.
This position requires you to be onsite 2-3 hours per day, we are open from April 17 to September 5.
**Job Type**: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 4 weeks
**Salary**: $19.00-$20.00 per hour

- Toronto, ON M6K 3C3: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
