Altea Active is looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Social Media Specialist to join our Marketing team. Our Social Media Specialist is a marketing professional and a total whiz when it comes to all things social media, specifically, flawlessly managing the day-to-day social platforms. Not only can you create beautiful, captivating content, you are an also an expert in social media marketing and analytics driving member engagement and increasing revenue growth.
You have experience developing and executing beautifully curated and effective social media strategies that foster a strong social community. You relish in creating high engagement social content and successful ad campaigns. Your determination and initiative support your vision that effortlessly becomes a reality. Your wicked social media strategies engage our online community while also optimizing our company pages and brand, increasing our revenue growth.
You have your finger on the pulse when it comes to the latest social media features and trends and are always testing new ways to optimize and improve social media performance. You have a serious flair for captivating your audience’s attention. You have a comprehensive understanding of various social media platforms and how to optimize content for maximum engagement. Your outgoing personality allows you to engage and connect with the team, members and guests to capture and post exciting content. Your creative juices empower you to gently promote our products and services to both existing and potential members. You take pride in planning, implementing, and monitoring our social media strategy to manage our reputation, increase brand awareness, improve marketing efforts while building and nurturing our online community. You are a social butterfly that thrives on engaging with the community, participating in and promoting events, coordinating and launching campaigns, and creating unique and engaging content across social media platforms such as TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn. You are tuned into emerging community forums like WhatsApp, WeChat, Slack, Discord and more and know where to build and harness the power of community.
**Education & Expertise**
- Minimum of 2 - 3 years' experience in social media management and content creation
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related discipline
- Strong working knowledge of communication principles and practices
- Communications and/or PR agency experience preferred
- Must possess excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication with strong writing and editorial abilities
- Demonstrated success with Social Media tools such as Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and others.
- Digital advertising experience is preferred
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, internet, wire services, media monitoring software, and other public relation tools
- Additional certifications or workshops relating to customer service are an asset
- Proven experience working in customer service
- Has the ability to be an influential communications consultant within the organization
- Has the ability to work effectively in a team
- CPR/First Aid certification (required to have a minimum of Emergency First Aid and CPR certification) required prior to start date and must be maintained throughout employment. CPR is to be renewed annually
- All team members must provide a recent Criminal Background Check prior to commencement of training and/or work
