**JOB TITLE: Employment and Learning Specialist**

**REPORTS TO: Employment and Learning Services Manager**

**What You’ll Do**:
The Employment and Learning Specialist, as part of the employment team, will provide assessments and individualized support plans to all ATN clients. This individual will encourage and equip clients to achieve educational and/or employment success and promote a culture of leadership, autonomy and engagement. Acting as a true collaborator the Employment and Learning Specialist will develop relationships with individual clients, the ATN team, and our larger community. The Employment and Learning Specialist will ensure service delivery standards in accordance with all regulatory bodies, funder, and organizational defined outcomes and guidelines.

**PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Assist clients with resume writing, job searching and interview preparation
- Assist clients with establishing job seeking skills, positive attitudes, and interview readiness
- Complete skills assessments and evaluations to determine the interests, aptitudes, and abilities of clients
- Conduct one-on-one meetings to determine strengths and create employment action plans
- Build ongoing relationships with each client and develop accommodation plans for both work and learning
- Match clients with employment opportunities secured through the job development process
- Regularly assess and re-evaluate clients’ progress and adjust training plans as required to meet individual needs
- Create weekly summaries of client progress and document client progress through up-to-date case management tracking
- Develop and deliver instruction geared to assisting clients with disabilities or barriers to acquire new skills for engagement, employment, etc.
- Job develop and job coach as required based on clients needs
- Other duties as assigned

**JOB SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS**
- Post-Secondary degree/diploma in Social Services or other related fields of study with record of academic achievement, or an equivalent combination of education, professional development and employment experience
- Case management experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of the community and social programs
- Cross-functional team player and collaborator with excellent communication, and relationship building skills
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Highly flexible, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse client base
