**Waste Connections of Canada **is **the leader in non-hazardous solid waste management in North America. We are looking for an experienced **Administrative Assistant **for **our facility in **Sarnia, ON.** **The Administrative Assistant will provide support to **the Site Manager and Operations Manager in a small office setting, **assisting in daily office needs by managing administrative and financial activities to help ensure the efficient and smooth day to day operation of our facility.**:
**General Responsibilities for the Administrative Assistant include**:

- ** Review and maintain AR aging and customer accounts.**:

- ** Process credit card payments, invoice adjustments and revisions.**:

- ** Monitor customer account details for no-payments, delayed payments, and other irregularities.**:

- ** Maintain and process vendor invoices, manage the local accounts payable system.**:

- ** Assist with month end close accounting procedures.**:

- ** Interact with customers, primarily by phone, and in person when visitors come to the office to receive orders for installation, turn on, discontinuance, or changes in service.**:

- ** Work in our customer relationship database, Outlook, MS Word and Excel as needed for administrative projects.**:

- **Provide coverage for Dispatch when needed.**:

- ** Data entry**:

- ** Organizing and filing**:

- ** Maintain office environment and supplies**:
**Desired Skills and Experience for the Administrative Assistant**:

- ** Previous experience with AP/AR and Payroll is a huge plus**:

- **Strong ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities**:

- ** Problem solving with ability to multi-task and work at a fast pace**:

- ** Excellent customer service orientation and interpersonal skills**:

- ** Exceptional attention to detail**:

- ** Time management**:

- ** Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills**:
