**Position Summary**:
The **Payroll and Benefits Administrator** is responsible for ensuring that employees are paid accurately and on-time. The role includes filing tax and voluntary deduction reports, updating and recording company payroll procedures, and completing additional accounting tasks assigned by senior management. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, the Payroll and Benefits Administrator works closely with the lead Payroll Manager and senior managers across the organization to ensure efficient and reliable pay procedures are executed consistently.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Prepare, process, and distribute semi-monthly and bi-weekly payrolls for salaried, hourly, and commissioned employees by using Payworks
- Ensure accuracy of payroll earnings and deductions are in compliance with company policies, CRA rules and regulations.
- Calculate vacation balances on monthly basis
- Prepare payments for pay in lieu of notice, severance and other final payments for employees
- Administer and maintain online Great West Life group benefits and MSP for new hires, changes, and terminations
- Process Record of Employments (ROE), T4s, T4As, T5s, and T2200s
- Complete quarterly reporting to Statistics Canada and WCB injury reports
- Ensure all documentation, including, but not limited to, employment agreements and salesperson agreements, meet current legislative requirements
- Support employees and management in day-to-day payroll and human resources issues

Additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned or modified as necessary throughout the course of your employment.

**Technical Skills & Requirements**
- Minimum 2 years of payroll experience
- Understanding of BC Employment Standards, tax, and legislation matters
- Basic accounting knowledge
- Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) credential or studying toward the PCP designation is an asset
- Post-secondary training is an asset
- Experience with payroll software/systems and general proficiency with Microsoft Windows (Excel, Word)

**Logistical Requirements**

This is a full-time position Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 4:30pm with 30 minutes for lunch. On occasion you may be required to work extended hours in order to meet deadlines based on the needs of the business.
