**Description**:
**Open-ended contract, renewable annually.**

As a Business Development Manager at Québec City Business Destination (QDa), you will play a vital role within the sales team, independently driving initiatives to position the Québec City area as a preferred business destination in alignment with QDa's strategies. Your responsibilities will include representing the region in promotional activities, targeting associations, companies, and other organizations with potential interest in Québec City, and persuading them to choose the city for their meetings and conferences.

In this dynamic role, you will also be required to travel on a regular basis to the United States. Based out of your home office, your proximity to an international airport with direct flights to the United States, will facilitate seamless access and enhance our outreach and engagement efforts with key stakeholders in the American market.

Your role will extend to the development and organization of special business events, and you may be involved in accompanying visitors to the destination. Additionally, you will provide guidance to QDa members on promoting and marketing tourism products in the business market while staying abreast of industry trends.

Flexibility is key, as you will be expected to undertake any other tasks related to the position as directed by your supervisor. Join us in contributing to the growth and success of Québec City as a premier business destination.

**Responsabilités**:

- Conduct comprehensive research to identify and evaluate new business opportunities using diverse channels, including partners, databases, and other resources to target potential clients.
- Identify and foster strong relationships with key industry partners such as MPI, ASAE, PCMA, Destination Canada, Québec offices, delegations, and others, to uncover and maximize business opportunities.
- Approach potential clients, introducing them to the range of services and products offered by Québec City, including transportation, accommodations, venues, and more. Follow up on business opportunities in collaboration with partners.
- Actively participate in the planning and execution of special business events, including site inspections, to showcase Québec City's offerings.
- Determine optimal strategies to promote Québec City effectively within the assigned sales territory.
- Plan, organize, and execute marketing and promotional activities, actively encouraging partner participation to enhance outreach efforts.
- Provide support to the QDa sales and marketing team in various marketing activities.
- Collaborate with hospitality industry and regional partners to consistently manage and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Monitor market developments and maintain an up-to-date business database to stay informed and strategically adapt to industry trends.
- Contribute to the formulation of an annual marketing and operations plan to guide proactive business strategies.
- Generate monthly activity and expense reports related to the fieldwork.
- Undertake additional tasks as directed by the supervisor to contribute to the overall success of sales and marketing initiatives.

**Exigences**:

- BBA or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years experience in the field
- Excellent knowledge of spoken and written English
- Good knowledge of spoken and written French
- Good knowledge of Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Availability for travel
