As a valued member of our team, reporting directly to the **Manager, Members’ Services**, you will collaborate closely with a dynamic group of **Finance** professionals.
**What You’ll Do**:
**You’ll act with integrity to**:
- Provide financial analysis and support as liaison between Financial Services and Human Resources.
- Provide advice and recommendations on budget payroll related issues for both political staff and Members by interpreting both financial and applicable HR policies, procedures, guidelines and directives.
- Provide financial analysis and support in the review of Members’ expenditures.
**You’ll support our collaboration as you**:
- Conduct reviews of all Members expenditures to identify issues relating to policies approved by the Board for the various Members’ budgets.
- Liaise with Manager, Members’ Services and Director, Financial Services to communicate issues identified through the review.
- Provide suggestions to management regarding streamlining/improving processes and customer service.
- In a back-up capacity, follow-up on collection of salary recoveries including Ministers and Parliamentary Assistants salary recoveries; co-ordinates and ensures proper payroll accounting for all cancelled cheques/stop payments/DDP recalls.
- Verify and communicate salary recoveries to Accounting Representative for invoicing to appropriate Ministry/Government Agency.
- Process journal entries and accounts payable invoices as required.
