Commercial Property Administrator

Killam Apartment REIT (TSX:KMP.UN), is a growth-oriented real estate investment trust which owns, manages and develops multi-family residential properties in Atlantic Canada, Ontario, Alberta, and British Columbia. Killam is focused on maximizing its value and long-term profitability through increasing earnings, expanding the portfolio through acquisitions, and developing high-quality properties in its core markets.
We are looking for an energetic, detail-oriented **Commercial Property Administrator** to join our office team in **Halifax, NS**. Reporting to the Commercial Property Manager, this position will oversee administrative duties for **The Brewery Market **located in downtown Halifax**.**
**What you will do**:
- Maintain files, produce correspondence, and monitor special projects;
- Issue purchase orders, create work orders, and close when complete;
- Liaise with contractors and other trades;
- Assist with preparing monthly reports;
- Maintain tenant courtyard bookings and assist with Killam building site events;
- Maintain tenant contact information and building memo correspondence;
- Prepare parking agreements and maintain parking data;
- Evening and weekend on-call responsibilities;
- Other administrative reports and duties as assigned.
**Who you are**:
- 1-2 years’ experience in a similar role;
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills;
- Strong computer skills including experience with Microsoft Word & Excel. Familiarity with Yardi software is considered an asset;
- A clear understanding of commercial building operation;
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, displaying initiative and problem-solving abilities;
- Previous customer service, accounting and/or collections experience is considered an asset;
- Experience in the property management industry is preferable.
