**Position Overview**: Reporting directly to the Chief Operations Officer as the Health & Safety Coordinator for Dynomax Drilling Tools you will lead the HSE program by working in conjunction with management at all levels to ensure the compliance and understanding of the program throughout the organization.

You bring a strong background in forging relationships internally but externally as well, engaging with suppliers. You will implement safety programs, best practices and procedures in order to reduce frequency and severity of accidental loss from injury and/or property damage.
- Develop, implement and monitor the organizations safety program including safe work procedures to meet the organizations objectives and initiate corrective action as required,
- Ensure compliance and develop strategies for the organizations policies and legislative requirements,
- Conducting daily, monthly, quarterly and annual inspections;
- Lifting device inspections,
- hazard analysis, periodic
- annual audits and implements subsequent action plans.
- This includes risk assessments and safe work practices,
- Provides leadership by instilling goals, objectives and measurements
- Establishes and maintains a proactive training program (personally or through external vendors)
- WHMIS,
- Accident Investigation,
- Lockout procedures,
- First Aid,
- Crane safety services,
- Forklift truck etc.
- This includes health and safety orientation to all new employees.
- Report to management on the effectiveness of the organizations Health and Safety Management System at Monthly and Annual Management Review Meetings. This includes;
- statistical information,
- trend analysis,
- recommendations,
- progress reports.
- Manages and maintains safety related data, maintaining MSDS info database and updating safety program manual/s)
- Lead the Joint Health and Safety Committee which includes but is not limited to:

- accident investigations,
- plant audits
- defines and communicates roles and responsibilities of committee members,
- maintains corrective action list,
- Act as the lead in WCB case management, providing; documentation and modified duty and/or return to work programs,
- Work with suppliers for:

- PPE,
- ergonomic improvements,
- equipment inspections,
- site maintenance.
- Communicate and coordinate with facility management and/or contractors to ensure the facility is kept in a safe working condition;
- Alarms,
- Emergency lighting,
- HVAC,
- Water Separator,
- Doors and locks,

**Qualifications**
- Minimum 3+ years’ experience in an OH&S role
- Holds CRSP designation or is in the process of obtaining CRSP designation,
- Comfortable in leading meetings and formally presenting recommendations to staff and management,
- Possesses:

- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Strong knowledge:

- of industrial hygiene,
- safety compliance,
- and hazardous waste regulations
- Proficiency in:

- MS Word
- Excel
- PowerPoint
- Ability to establish relationships and interface with customers and employees at all levels of the organization.
- Practical experience developed through previous implementation of safety programs,
- Strong Leadership and organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Passion for Health and Safety and how it relates to organizational culture
