**Position Summary**
Reporting to the Director, Total Compensation and HR Operations, the Manager, HRIS will lead the development and implementation of core HR business processes and service excellence solutions that align with client needs and technical priorities, as well as the data analytics to support management decision making. One of the initial projects will be to lead the vendor discussions, design, implementation, and communication of a service operations framework with a focus on delivering an integrated Banner platform that drives employee empowerment and business success. The Manager oversees and leads a team in the delivery of a positive employee experience by providing leadership, direction, oversight and support for all HRIS and HR operational processes and process improvements.

**Responsibilities**
- Contributes to the planning, development, implementation and evaluation of the department strategy.
- Develops and implements short and long term HRIS unit goals and objectives to ensure the delivery of effective and efficient services.
- Provides leadership for the design and administration of the human resources component of the Banner HR/Payroll system by overseeing the HR data collection, maintenance and the integrity of the system, and implements the necessary controls to identify and mitigate risks in all areas of accountability.
- Oversees the implementation of business process upgrades and system changes/enhancements; manages testing and data validations, maintains data integrity, ensures employee data reporting activities meet client needs, and ensures that overall system performance is aligned with business objectives.
- Manages system changes (updates, integrations, new configuration, fixes) for Banner HR including overseeing the planning, development, system testing and delivery of all changes
- Develops and maintains people metrics reporting and predictive analytics. Monitors and assesses reporting requirements.
- Manages HR transactional service requirements and identifies systems and related procedures that maximize technology to support effective and efficient services.
- Leads HR vendor negotiation, selection and management to establish appropriate system integrations and strong partnerships.
- Oversees the FLAC system operations related to faculty contracts, and partners with Schools to address unique situations and issues.
- Leads the implementation of practices and policies required to achieve and maintain operational efficiencies in HRIS/Operations
- Identifies business challenges and uses data analysis to help influence changes to the operations, processes and programs.
- Ensures system compliance with legislative, College HR policies, procedures, Council requirements, and collective agreements.

**Qualifications/Experience**
- Bachelor degree (4 year) in a related discipline such as Human Resource Management or Information Systems, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Seven (7) years’ related Human Resources experience in a unionized environment, with demonstrated in-depth experience using an HRIS (i.e. Banner, PeopleSoft, SAP). Experience in a post-secondary environment an asset.
- Experience leading or supporting complex technology projects from conception to implementation
- Certified Payroll Manager (CPM), Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS), and/or CHRP designation considered an asset
- Training in Lean Six Sigma an asset.
- Demonstrated understanding of HR and payroll processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proven track record of building relationships with key stakeholders, vendors, and clients.
- Strong understanding of reporting tools and dashboard metrics
- Knowledge and ability to troubleshoot and resolve software, hardware and network problems;
- Ability to write effective Standard Operating Procedures
- Demonstrated strength
