- The_ **Sales & Business Development Representative**_ _will report directly to Regional Sales Manager. This role specializes in providing full service account coverage and development of new business. Success will require a strong sales acumen in account management, sales and sales planning, particularly as follows: _
**Duties & Responsibilities**:
- Provide knowledgeable consultation, including customer training, to both new and existing customers.
- Resolve customer questions and concerns and look for ways to enhance the customer experience.
- Manage a portfolio of accounts and develop sales plans to nurture and grow existing relationships.
- Demonstrate market intelligence, business acumen and customer trust to close sales deals on new business as well as upselling ventures to existing customer accounts.
- Maintain accurate records of all activities in the company database.
**Experience, Skills & Competencies**:
- 3 to 5 years of sales experience
- Ambitious, passionate and competitive team player who is willing to take the lead
- Proven sales ability, consultation and presentation skills
- Ability to plan, organize and document sales activities
- Knowledge of marketing strategies, forecasting tactics
- Proven ability to negotiate new business and close sales deals
- Valid Driver’s License
- Post-Secondary education
- Knowledge of MS Word and Excel
- Experience as a product manager or manufacturer’s representative (asset)
- Experience selling in the automotive aftermarket or industrial market space (asset)
- Experience using Salesforce (asset)
