Due to the temporary nature of the position, having an HR background with a knowledge base of HR policy and procedures is preferred.

**A little about us**:
The Lethbridge Community Out of School Association IT’S A BLAST program, established in 1992, is a non-profit organization licensed to provide out-of-school care for children 6 to 12 years old. We offer various Before School, After School, and Summer programs in several schools throughout the city.

Our vision is to become the premiere out-of-school care program in Lethbridge, with a focus on treating all children as individuals by fostering creative expression and enhancing self-confidence. We strive to help develop life skills in individuals by providing new opportunities to learn and succeed, both within the programs and in the office.

**Position Summary**:

- Be the first point of contact for Employee communication. Build rapport and good working relationships with all employees.
- Assist the HR Coordinator with scheduling for all programs
- Maintain updated information about current employees (personal information, salary, Certificates)
- Assistance with recruitment, including pre-screening and reference checks
- Assist with the onboarding of new employees, check references, file all necessary paperwork.
- Develop and maintain an efficient filing system. Check incoming paperwork, create or update records with files, store all information in designated places, and secure important documents.
- Must be able to carry the on-call phone every other week from 6:00 am-9:00 am Monday through Friday.

- Comfortable learning new software, with proficiency in Office365
- Knowledge concerning HR practices and labour standards
- Must be able to work independently and as a team player

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Minimum 2 years experience in an Administrative, HR, or Accounting Role
- Post-Secondary Diploma or Degree in the field of Human Resources preferred, but not required
- Clean Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Query

**What can we provide to you?**
- Consistent schedule of 9:00am - 4:30pm Monday through Friday with all Stat holidays off.
- Banked overtime that can be used to take paid time off.

Pay: $20.00-$23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week
