The Student Recruitment Liaison Coordinator is responsible for strategic recruitment for the purpose of informing future activities and admission practices by providing advising, recruitment, and liaison services to students seeking undergraduate admission to Simon Fraser University. The role plans, executes and assesses recruiting services at a variety of educational, community, and professional settings domestically and internationally to recruit well qualified, prospective undergraduate students to SFU. As a central recruiter for the university, the position participates in the development and leads the implementation of a territory management recruitment strategy in an assigned region (international or national) in support of fulfilling the annual student enrolment goals of SFU's strategic enrolment plan. The role engages and builds relationships with stakeholders and partners across the University; collaborates and provides input on key issues and initiatives such as admission, eligibility and institutional level student services policies and processes while acting as a key contact for faculty recruiters, ensuring colleagues across the institution have up-to-date knowledge of recruiting standards and best practices, and provides advice on strategies.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related discipline, and five years of related experience, which includes experience in academic advising or student recruitment and the supervision of staff, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Outstanding knowledge of university policies and regulations related to student admission, academic programming, academic advising and services.
- Outstanding ability to pivot and reprioritize operations based on changing instructions and decisions which impact deadlines and strategic groups.
- Outstanding presentation, facilitation, and public relations ability.
- Excellent ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and exercise sound judgement with a high level of diplomacy and discretion.
- Excellent analytical, computational, and problem-solving skills and demonstrated attention to detail.
- Excellent cross-cultural competency and interpersonal communication skills.
- Excellent ability to work inclusively and respectfully with all levels of the external and internal SFU community.
- Excellent in-depth knowledge of Canadian and international secondary and post-secondary education systems
- Excellent presentation, communication and intercultural communication skills (verbal, written and presentation).
- Excellent ability to work independently and effectively.
- Solid ability to use enterprise level information systems (e.g., OnBase, PeopleSoft, Tableau, Salesforce).
- Solid ability to exercise mature judgment and diplomacy.
- Solid ability to supervise staff.
- Must be willing to travel extensively (internationally and domestically).
- Ability to work evenings and weekends.
- Access to a motor vehicle and valid driver's license for business travel.
- Criminal Record/Vulnerable Sector check required upon employment.
