**Job Summary**:
We’re looking for a passionate, collaborative Coordinator to join our Strategy team to help us share Calgary’s story as a great place to make a living and make a life.

The** Coordinator, Strategy** is responsible for providing support to the implementation and communication of Calgary’s economic strategy, _Calgary in the New Economy_. This will include, but is not limited to, administration, operational support and coordination, and communications of programs and activities in collaboration with a diverse set of internal and external partners, and in some cases government ministries and agencies.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Support CED’s participation and contributions to external engagement and activations, such as committees, CED-hosted and partner events. This includes planning, coordinating, and executing on activations to engage internal and external partners for community outreach.
- Work closely with the Strategic Alliances and Marketing & Communications team to coordinate partner engagement and outreach, including community organizations, members of the business community and government.
- Support preparation and writing of documents for internal and external audiences. This includes creating content, narratives, requests for proposals, briefings, memos, funding proposals, reports, marketing materials, presentations, etc.
- Collect data from a variety of primary and secondary sources (e.g., community partners, research reports, media, government policy documents, etc.) for internal and external reporting purposes.
- Support tracking and management of projects and initiatives under the _Calgary in the New Economy_ key drivers.
- Collaboratively develop and execute on research projects with internal and external partners, as required.

**Education**:

- Bachelor’s degree or college diploma in a relevant field of study. A background in strategy, government relations and/or communications is preferred. A relevant field of study may include Public or International Relations, Political Science, Economics, Communications, Business Administration, or equivalent work experience.
- Education/training in economic development, communication/writing and/or stakeholder engagement is an asset.

**Experience**:

- Minimum of 2 - 5 years of experience in a directly related area, during which professional capability has been clearly demonstrated.
- Work or volunteering in government relations, advocacy or communications.
- Expert user of Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and Word to execute on timely delivery of work product.
