We are looking for a Manager, Corporate Strategy & Development to join us in the exciting work we do in Energy Infrastructure group. Reporting to the Vice President, Finance & Controller, it’ll be your responsibility to oversee long‐range modelling & planning, strategic and financial analysis, research, modelling, and evaluation of strategic initiatives in support of Energy Infrastructures’ strategic objectives. In this position, you also get to support the use of environmental, social, and governance (“ESG”) metrics in the development of strategic plans.

- **Strategy & Planning**:

- Development and operation of complex long‐range strategic planning models in Excel.
- Consolidation of financial information received from diverse lines of business.
- Integration of climate and sustainability metrics into long range planning and screening processes.
- Evaluate and stress test various strategic initiatives, financing alternatives and capital investment plans.
- Work collaboratively with business leaders to obtain financial, ESG and sustainability information, coordinate financial / sustainability analysis and conduct consolidation of the Energy Infrastructure business unit Strategic and Business Plans.
- Work collaboratively with functional groups (e.g. business development, accounting, operations) to ensure coordinated approach to the long‐range plan and appropriate operational, accounting, tax, sustainability and finance assumptions.
- Utilize long‐range planning model(s) to conduct financial, scenario and sustainability analysis.
- Prepare annual strategic and business planning reports and Board presentation(s).
- Provide ad hoc support to Energy Infrastructure leadership.
- **Corporate Development**:

- Work collaboratively with the business development teams to support strategic initiatives and due diligence on key strategic initiatives.
- Support development of business cases prepared by business development teams.
- Coordinate corporate functions required to obtain approval of potential strategic initiatives and/or execute successful strategic initiatives.
- Conduct microeconomic, macroeconomic, ESG and company research to assist with strategy development.
- Assist with development of prioritization and screening mechanisms for new opportunities.
- Identify and evaluate the implications of major trends and developments in markets as well as changing market conditions and inputs for business opportunities.
- Follow industry, policy, climate and sustainability trends to assess impacts to the business and identify opportunities and risks.

**Who You Are**:

- Minimum of an undergraduate degree in Economics, Commerce, Finance, or related discipline
- One of the following designations is required: CFA, MBA, CPA, or CBV
- Minimum 7-10 years’ experience within an accounting, corporate finance, valuation or closely related role
- Demonstrated knowledge of energy sectors and key trends shaping those sectors, including ESG and climate policy trends
- Strong ability in developing economic evaluation methodologies, models and associated analysis combined with acute ability to articulate valuation findings
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team of Senior Business Development professionals
- Exposure to and working knowledge of the North American energy markets
- Able to work independently with attention to detail and results focused
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong financial modelling skills
- Exceptional understanding of corporate finance, tax, and accounting concepts
- Strong understanding of key energy transition drivers, including policy, climate and ESG factors
- Strong communication skills and presentation skills with the ability to write concise and compelling reports and presentations
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to verbally communicate multi‐dimensional issues in a clear manner and act with a sense of diplomacy
