**Job Description**:
**About the role**:
This role is focused on financial analysis, reconciliation and preparation of regulatory and board reporting, specifically on the Canadian legal entity and IFRS 17. Duties include:

- Posting/reconciling the technical deposits and payments to the Sub-ledger, liaise with the Operation and Admin team to investigate and resolve discrepancies.
- Prepare monthly aged net technical receivables report for review.
- Prepare quarterly technical accrual journal entries, including variance analysis (against Plan, Prior Quarter and Prior Year) and reconciliation reports for intercompany settlements and transactions.
- Prepare monthly investment reconciliation, analyze portfolio variances between Clearwater and PeopleSoft, and liaise with the Investment team to investigate and resolve discrepancies.
- Perform accounting processess in Risk Integrity related to IFRS 17 reporting, analyze financial results and perform validations/reconciliations of accounting outputs.
- Analyze financial results and perform quarterly reconciliations on the PeopleSoft ledger, investigate and resolve variances in a timely manner.
- Support Canadian legal entity quarterly regulatory reporting (OSFI and Statistics Canada).
- Participate in year-end close and annual audited financial statement preparation process.
- Support management information (MI) and board reporting analysis and preparation.
- Assist with internal and external audit requests as required.
- Assist in organizing documentation of the quarterly financial process and results.
- Perform monthly & quarterly FX rate and revaluation process.
- Participation in ad-hoc assignments and reporting as required.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with emphasis on Excel and Power Point.
- Demonstrated ability to promote effective teamwork and accountability.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and willing to rise to new challenges.
- Ability to handle multiple assignments; communicating prioritizations to required levels.
- Highest degree of professional ethics.
- Strong interpersonal skills & effective communicator (written and oral).
- Demonstrated analytical, problem-identification and resolution skills with attention to detail.

Additional Information

The role will be based in downtown Toronto and we operate in a hybrid work environment, with Monday and Friday as remote working days.
