**SCOPE**
Reporting to the Associate Director, Alumni Engagement the incumbent will lead, manage and coordinate the development of individual engagement plans in support of the unit’s philanthropic goals. They will work closely with senior administration, alumni, donors and volunteers and relevant university stakeholders.

**PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Responsible for the creation of engagement plans for the university’s top donors and prospects,
- Research university and unit programming, identifies opportunities. Develops key partnerships within unit and university.
- Develop and maintain schedule of strategic outreach including presidential events and opportunities, women and leadership engagement, and other key constituencies.
- Advise senior administration on strategic opportunities that will best meet the needs of top donors and prospects.
- Partner with key stakeholders (development, faculties, communications) to identify other opportunities for donors/prospects slated for strategic and specialized engagement. Ensures timely follow-up and coordination with all stakeholders.
- Establish metrics for success based on unit engagement goals and outcomes; provides regular updates to key senior administration.
- Ensure relevant contact and stakeholder information.
- Design and track an engagement menu driven by university and faculty campaign priorities.
- Develops specific programming to highlight and engage women within the Concordia community.
- Works with fundraising colleagues to identify, connect and engage prospects in key regions around the world and helps qualify these graduates in order to feed the pipeline.
- Recruits and stewards key global alumnae volunteers - developing women’s networks in strategic cities.
- Performs other duties in support of the unit.

**REQUIREMENTS**
- Bachelor’s degree and two to four years of related work experience, previous experience in association or nonprofit management, preferably in a University setting; experience in managing volunteers is essential.
- Very good knowledge (Level 5) of spoken and written English and French.
- Good knowledge (Intermediate level) of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent interpersonal communications skills. Independent worker and demonstrated leadership skills. Works well within a team environment and is able to interact effectively with alumni and other volunteers.
- Ability to manage a number of projects simultaneously.
- Capable of working with confidential information; exhibits discretion; welcoming of diverse cultures and constituents.
- Availability to work on weekends and evenings.

Concordia University is an English-language institution of higher learning at which the primary language of instruction and research is English. Since this position supports academic and administrative functions of the university, proficiency in English and French, as indicated, is required.
