**About the role**

The Marketing Manager will be in charge of spearheading Front Row Venture’s marketing, communications and community relations efforts.

This hire will be an integral part of the HQ team, reporting directly to FRV's Managing Director and managing a team of part time student associates helping fulfill the different marketing and community engagement objectives of the organization.

From a high level view, your role will be separated into 4 core responsibilities:

- Marketing
- Partnerships
- External Events
- Alumni engagement

**Tasks and Responsibilities**

**1. MARKETING**
- Manage a team of student marketing associates helping to execute various marketing campaigns
- Refine our media policies, develop content and organize our content calendar
- Continuously work to improve our presentation materials, as well as develop new content for dissemination by student associates on various campuses

**2. PARTNERSHIPS**
- Manage a small team of partnership associates associated with different geographies.
- Engage with and nurture the current FRV network of partners and expand depending on the needs
- Work with associates to formalize some old informal partnerships and build partnership proposals for new partners.
- Ensure we are executing agreed upon partnerships.

**3. EXTERNAL EVENTS**
- Brainstorm and create new events in support of our larger mission of supporting student founders across Canada. These events will include (but are not limited to): Annual General Meeting

Alumni reunionsLP/Network dinnersYoung People in Tech type eventsFRV Info sessions
- Source and book venues, vendors, and speakers
- Oversee the events’ execution
- Promote them so they are a success.

**4. ALUMNI ENGAGEMENT**
- Define and implement initiatives to maximize our alumni engagement with the objective of creating a strong sense of community among FRV alumni
- Track alumni to know what they have gone on to do after FRV
- Create engaging content highlighting alumni stories
- Plan and organize alumni focused events.

**5. OTHER**

Undertake any other project or task assigned by the MD or Director of operations within the scope of his/her skills.

**Who you are**

FRV is essentially a startup itself. Therefore, we are looking for someone independent and resourceful who thinks and acts like an entrepreneur and is willing to take on above-average responsibilities. We provide a significant degree of freedom and expect you to be proactive, responsible and to have initiative, a “can-do” attitude and strong worth ethic and commitment. We are looking for someone who loves and is excited about new startups, markets and technologies, as well as for venture investing.

You must be energized by the responsibility of owning a broad portfolio of projects. You are a creative problem-solver, you can effectively navigate ambiguity, and are not afraid to take on new challenges.

**Professional Background**
- Bachelor's degree / Master's degree in marketing, communication, digital marketing
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills and ability to communicate effectively with a variety of audiences
- Prior experience organizing webinars or other online and in person events
- Bilingualism (English / French);
- Great organization, planning, and prioritizing skills;
- Creative problem-solving approach
- Prior experience Wordpress or another CMS (an asset)
- General knowledge of SEO and online advertising platforms (an asset)
- Prior experience with Google Analytics or another analytics platform (an asset)
