**Position Summary**

The Bilingual Communications Specialist reports to the Manager of Media Relations and Public Affairs and works with internal stakeholders to create member and corporate communications. This role involves supporting public and media relations functions and creating presentations, social media posts, newsletters, official correspondence, and internal communications.

**Annual Salary**

$61,249.50 per year ($34.90 per hour)

**Responsibilities**
- Maintain and drive engagement through CBA’s social media network, including content development, daily monitoring, and responding to inquiries.
- Summarize and synthesize reports and CBA products for the creation of social media graphics.
- Coordinate external and internal communications flow (memos, newsletters, etc.).
- Collaborate with various departments to produce copies for programs, services, and events.
- Track and evaluate the results of communications campaigns.
- Acquire and maintain a detailed knowledge of the company’s policies, principles, and strategies, and keep up to date with relevant developments.
- Other related duties as assigned.

**QUALIFICATIONS**

**Education**
- A college or university degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related discipline is required.

**Experience**
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in:

- Writing and editing content for communications products.
- Working in a communications environment.

**Skills and Abilities**
- Proven experience as a communications specialist.
- Experience in copywriting and editing.
- Solid understanding of project management principles.
- Working knowledge of MS Office; photo and video-editing software is an asset.
- Excellent communication (oral and written) and presentation skills.
- Outstanding organizational and planning abilities.
- Excellent organizational skills and adherence to strict deadlines.
- Ability to work efficiently and effectively, under pressure, and as a part of a team.
- Experience within a non-profit and/or member-based association is preferred.
- Knowledge of the Canadian legal system is preferred.
- Experience in design and content production is a plus.
- Experience working in government or government relations is a plus.
