Job Description

Position Overview:

The Bilingual Social Media Communications Specialist is responsible for developing and implementing strategic social media plans to support the Canadian Medical Protective Association's (CMPA) communications objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and schedule social media content for multiple platforms, including Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Instagram.
  • Monitor and respond to social media comments and messages in a timely and professional manner.
  • Track and analyze social media metrics to inform content strategy and optimize engagement.
  • Collaborate with the communications team to ensure consistent branding and messaging across all communications channels.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in social media marketing and communications.

Requirements:

  • Four-year Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 4-6 years of experience in social media marketing and communications, with a focus on healthcare or a related industry.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to write engaging social media content.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to track and analyze social media metrics.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

Work Environment:

The Bilingual Social Media Communications Specialist will work remotely, with occasional on-site presence at the CMPA office in Ottawa, Ontario.

Selection Process:

Selected candidates will be required to complete a French language assessment and provide writing samples.
