A Project Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day administrative tasks of a project, ensuring its smooth operation by managing schedules, budgets, communication between team members and stakeholders, and coordinating resources to meet project goals within deadlines, reporting regularly to the project manager on progress and any potential issues. 

Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Scheduling:
Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and work breakdowns, assigning tasks to team members and tracking progress against the schedule. 

Resource Management:
Coordinate internal and external resources, including vendors, consultants, and team members, to ensure efficient project execution. 

Budget Tracking:
Monitor project expenses against the budget, identifying potential cost overruns and taking corrective actions. 

Communication Management:
Facilitate clear communication between project team members, stakeholders, and clients through regular meetings, updates, and reports. 

Risk Management:
Identify potential project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and monitor their impact. 

Meeting Coordination:
Organize and manage project meetings, including agendas, minutes, and action items. 

Documentation and Reporting:
Prepare and distribute project status reports, including key performance indicators (KPIs), to relevant stakeholders. 

Change Management:
Manage project scope changes, ensuring proper documentation and communication of adjustments to the project plan.

Understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and tools 

Strong Communication:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with diverse stakeholders 

Organizational Skills:
Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines 

Analytical Skills:
Ability to identify potential problems, analyze data, and propose solutions 

Attention to Detail:
Meticulous approach to ensure accuracy and completeness of project documentation 

Teamwork:
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams 

Relevant Experience:
Previous experience as a project coordinator or similar role in a related industry 

Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Asana, Trello)

Sky City Roofing has over 17 years of experience in Manitoba, but our skilled workmen have been in the industry for most of their lives. Our clients feel comfortable knowing that our servicemen understand the importance of the job they are doing. We are currently recruiting to help with the growing demands of our clients.

Work Details

Project Coordinator will be working together with managers and estimators to complete mid to large scale projects. Such duties include but are not limited to; ordering supplies needed, creating schedules for install, managing site staff and all daily activities, and meeting with General Contractors and Inspectors for project review.

Job Duties
- Enable workflows from field operations to stake holders
- Ability to read and comprehend job specifications and contract documents.
- Review architectural drawings and project specifications to determine project scope.
- Accuracy and attention to detail are a must.
- Good oral and written communication skills. Ability to effectively present information one-on-one to clients, consultants, and other employees within the company as needed.
- Record, track and file paperwork/correspondences
- Ability to understand and carry out instructions provided in written, oral, or diagram form and deal with problems in a creative manner. Must be a problem solver
- Ability to relate well to all kinds of people, can build constructive and effective relationships using diplomacy and tact.
- Work in office and on-site locations managing and coordinating foreman, work crews and tasks.
- Time and resource management, project completion on time and on budget
- Scheduling and coordination of projects.
- Work safe, communicate safety concerns, participate in company safety program
- Must be a self-motivated person
- Strong attention to detail, effective decision-making skills, and ability to manage multiple projects
- Construction industry experience, including building envelope knowledge.

**Qualifications**:

- At least 5 years of management / supervisory experience
- Knowledge of OSHA Compliance
- Requires excellent communication, analytical, leadership, interpersonal, problem solving and organizational skills
- Computer literacy with proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- A valid driver’s license (in good standing)
