Reservation & Revenue Manager

Reporting to the Hotel Manager, the Reservation & Revenue Manager is responsible to support the hotel with reporting and data analysis. The role is to improve and maintain data quality efforts in all areas of revenue reporting. The role also facilitates system maintenance tasks including but not limited to rate loading and inventory management, maintenance of rate parity across all selling channels and content management.
**Duties & Responsibilities**
- Take ownership of designated market segments and work diligently to increase market share within those segments.
- Monitor daily sales procedures to maximize room revenue and effectively manage hotel occupancy.
- Manage all group bookings and group pricing.
- Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships, seeking solutions that align with client needs and the hotel's objectives.
- Participate in weekly revenue call
- Provide coaching and guidance to leaders in revenue-generating departments to develop effective revenue strategies and set ambitious goals for the property's financial performance.
- Analyze competitors' strategies to identify opportunities for increasing occupancy, RevPAR, and market share.
- Continuously analyze current and potential market trends, coordinating activities to maintain and increase revenue through increased business volume and rates.
- Propose innovative marketing ideas and develop strategies to further grow market share.
- Execute and support the operational aspects of booked business, including generating proposals, drafting contracts, and maintaining customer correspondence.
- Develop strong relationships with property operational teams to promote unity and the pursuit of common goals.
- Accurately generates and updates all Revenue Management reports.
- Assists in the monthly forecasting process, and creation of the annual budget
- Assists in managing availability, rates and inventory in all channels, and communicates strategies and restrictions to operations teams.
- Responsible for maintaining rate parity across all channels, including collaborating with the sales team regarding follow up processes for repeat offenders.
- Assists with system maintenance including but not limited to, rate loading, restrictions management, monitoring forecasted demand, and running daily system checks. System expert within distribution, RM and reporting platforms.
- Supports special projects within RM and Distribution, focused on uncovering new revenue opportunities.
- Performs ad-hoc tasks, analysis, and reporting on a needed basis to senior leadership.
- Perform other duties as assigned to meet the business needs.
**What we would like you to bring to the position**:
- Experience with Marriott systems (Opera, GXP, HPP, MARSHA, MarRFP, One Yield)
- Hospitality Management degree is an asset
- “G” class driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Dynamic can-do attitude
- Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets
- Strong analytical skills and attention to details
- Presents a professional and polished appearance
- Effectively deal with guests and other team members
- Experience with Opera, GXP, One Yield and Opera Sales and Catering preferred
- Possessing the trait of being organized and multi-tasking
- Ability to complete work within given deadlines
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in hotel sales, reservation or revenue, preferably in a full-service, upscale property.
