**ABOUT THE ROLE**
The People Operations Specialist plays a critical role in supporting and contributing to the employee experience and lifecycle at LiveCA. In collaboration with the HR team, the People Operations Specialist supports, optimizes and implements people processes and programs while assisting in the day-to-day responsibilities associated with people operations. To succeed in this role you will be responsible for the following:
- Support in documenting and implementing processes, procedures and programs relating to the employee lifecycle
- Ensure that People Operations processes and policies are up to date
- Execute on People Operations processes i.e.: offboarding, onboarding, promotions, leaves, performance reviews, etc.
- Act as primary contact for internal team member support items
- In collaboration with the Director of HR, support and drive implementation of projects relating to the various points within the employee lifecycle, coordinating project workflow accordingly
- Ensure compliance with federal, provincial and local employment guidelines and regulations
- Help drive employee engagement initiatives and programs to foster a positive workplace culture and employee experience
- Plan and execute company, team building or virtual events
- Assist in implementing training programs for employee growth and development
- Responsible for the day-to-day support for the CPA Student and Mentor program at LiveCA, proactively addressing any compliance or general inquiries/matters as they arise
- Responsible for LiveCA's employer branding initiatives and for social media and content creation that creates visibility for LiveCA
- Participate in and support various HR initiatives and cross-functional projects as needed.
**WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR**
- Relevant experience in a People Ops role (1 - 2 years)
- Understanding of the employee lifecycle, with the ability to recommend process-oriented and/or operational solutions to improve the employee lifecycle
- Experience using various HRIS and ATS systems
- Advanced knowledge of Google Suite including Gsheets or equivalent (e.g.: Excel)
- Strong verbal and written communications with the ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels within LiveCA
- Strong problem solving and organizational skills - able to manage multiple priorities
- Able to use discretion and handle highly sensitive information
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to exercise strong judgment at all times
