**The Opportunity**:
4 month work term (preferred): May - September 2024

**How You Will Contribute**:
As a global partner marketing and communications intern, you will be part of a fast-paced team of marketing and communications professionals in Ciena’s Global Communications organization and will work closely with other teams across Ciena, particularly the global partner organization.
- You will learn how to organize and manage a communications editorial calendar on a regular basis by contributing to the partner editorial calendar and keeping it organized with planned communications, social posts, and upcoming corporate campaign launches.
- You will develop deliverables such as draft communications, both internal and external, for activities on the partner editorial calendar and learn how to gather input and feedback from our internal teams and our external partners on those communications.
- You will create a tracker for partner content that has been updated in the new Ciena Mosaic brand and track partner content that still needs to be updated, helping the partner team sort prioritization.
- You will support archiving and removing outdated content on our internal system, SharePoint and our external-facing system, the CPNe Partner Portal, and learn how to work with and manage both systems.

**The Must Haves**:

- Working towards completion of BS/BA degree or Undergraduate degree in marketing or communications
- Foundational knowledge of Strong verbal/ written communications skills, organizational skills, process-oriented
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, experience with SharePoint preferred but not required

**Assets**:

- Experience in project management
- Experience in business, preferably sales or marketing
