As EDC aims to be the leader in helping all Canadian exporters go, grow, and succeed internationally, the marketing team has an ambitious agenda to deepen exporter engagement. As part of the business Communications, Marketing and Corporate Strategy group (CMCS), the Marketing team is seeking an individual contributor to accelerate the understanding of the needs of the Cleantech businesses and build awareness of the ESG and engagement and work closely with key stakeholders in prioritization and delivery.

**Team and Position Overview**

The Marketing team is looking for an experienced senior marketer to develop and oversee the overall efforts of the Marketing team to produce and implement a Marketing plan to create new growth for EDC in support of EDC’s Environmental and Social Governance (ESG) and Cleantech strategies, building our brand and relationships with our customers and partners.

This role supports the strategy for two of EDC’s key corporate priorities. The role supports the execution of the EDC’s ESG strategy, a key to the long-term growth and success of our customers and Canada’s prosperity. Similarly, the same applies to the Cleantech portfolio. Helping Canadian Cleantech companies grow their businesses internationally with a dedicated team focused on understanding the industry’s needs and delivering the right solutions for them.

The Marketing Business Partner will work to define and develop the Marketing plan and initiatives in support of both portfolios, working in collaboration with the marketing team and collaborating with others in the organization.

**Key responsibilities and requirements**
- Develop and oversee the execution of the marketing plans and initiatives to support the strategy for two of EDC’s key corporate priorities - ESG and Cleantech.
- Collaborate with a dynamic high-powered team of marketers to create messaging and communications for customers and partners, generate content for the web, social media, corporate reports based on strategy, and define and implement integrated Marketing campaigns.
- Define, analyze, and report on marketing objectives and metrics to demonstrate customer impact.
- Act as point person in Marketing to take in new requests and make recommendations on appropriate marketing actions based on objectives and customer impact. Project manages initiatives to ensure on time delivery, collaborating with marketing team members and marketing agencies as required.
- Work with the Marketing and stakeholder leaderships teams to create continuous alignment with EDC’s strategy and tactics to help EDC reach its goals and objectives.
- Educate and build stakeholder awareness and understanding of marketing best practices to reach the intended audiences.
- Advise and manage stakeholders by reporting on initiatives, challenges, and opportunities to leadership.
- Drive the development and implementation of tactics through program management, meetings, evaluation of tactics’ performance with metrics and effective communications with internal/external stakeholders and/or external agencies.
- Act as SME and role model in Marketing to drive impactful solutions and positive change, educating, encouraging, motivating, and empowering others and helping them succeed as part of the team.
