Reporting to the Manager, Information Services, the System Administrator will provide a full range of IT services to support our operations. Additionally, you will contribute to the research, design, evaluation, and implementation of potential software and hardware solutions. This role is located in our Dartmouth, NS office.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Order, set-up, and install end user desktops, laptops, printers, SIP phones, and mobile devices.
- Network administration and security, including managing operating systems and end user software, and communication devices/requirements.
- Track assets and ensure they are assigned in accordance with company policies.
- Collaborate with third-party vendors and service providers to implement IT-related projects and initiatives.
- Server administration and maintenance, including upgrades, patches and monitoring for performance and high availability.
- Manage back-up and recovery system as well as manage user security awareness training.
- Shared responsibility for after-hours support.
- Keeps up to date on latest cyber security solutions and ensures preventative measures/firewalls to secure network system.
- Update policies and procedures, as required.

**What You Will Bring**
- A degree or diploma in Information Technology. Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA), Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Fortinet Network Security Expert (NSE), etc. are deemed an asset.
- At least 3 years of practical experience working in Information Technology or IT Support.

***Skills and Knowledge**
- Proficiency in network administration, including LAN, WAN, routers, switches, firewalls, and network protocols. Experience with Cisco Meraki products is considered an asset.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external vendors.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues efficiently.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently with mínimal supervision, while also thriving in a team-oriented environment.
- Must have a valid driver’s license, as this position will be required to support the other facilities.
