**IT Systems Specialist**

**The role**:

- Provide support for administrative offices, and remote users and systems
- Manage routers, switches, physical and virtual servers
- Manage and troubleshoot various IT issues. Some travel and overtime may be required
- Onboarding new employees
- Procurement and setting up new laptops, phones, peripherals, workstations
- Troubleshooting computer and office equipment
- Review existing IT operations to ensure efficiency and continuous improvement as well as - mitigate operational risks
- Basic networking maintenance and changes (routers, switches)
- Basic VMware knowledge
- PCI compliance maintenance
- Office 365 administration
- Basic Server db administrations, database backups, etc
- Ensure security of data, network access and backup systems as well as maintaining the company disaster recovery plans
- Setting up remote offices
- Voip and system maintenance and phone number management
- Documenting and enforcing IT policies
- Conduct regular audit of systems and data integrity in accordance with IT Industry best practices and assess their outcomes
- Negotiating pricing and contracts with various vendors, with the support of key stakeholders for IT and Communications equipment and services.
- Software Implementation
- Plan end-user training as required
- Perform other duties as assigned

**Other Role Duties**:
Staying current with industry IT, Network and security trends.

**Qualifications**
- Technical degree or diploma in information technology and 3-5 years previous work experience.
- Familiarity with Data Migration and/or SQL would be considered an asset
- Familiarity with CRM/ERP and VOIP systems considered an asset
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Customer service oriented; team player
- Problem solving and analytical skills
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Comfortable working independently and in delivering tasks end to end with mínimal supervision
- Ability to prioritize workload
- Project Management
- Strong working knowledge of Office 365, Azure/AD, SharePoint
- Experience in desktop and remote troubleshooting
- Self-starter that thrives in a changing environment

Reports to: General Manager

Must have a clean criminal record, and obtain a valid Driver's license.

This a full-time permanent position with a very attractive compensation package including benefits, pension matching, and other employee incentives. Positions are being filled in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia.
