Organizational Development Trainer

Please Note: Primarily a Monday to Friday schedule however some evening and weekend work may be required

The Director of People Experience and Talent currently seeking a professional trainer to:

- Plan and coordinate a range of training programs to support the achievement of Waypoint’s mission and strategic objectives
- Develop and support other organizational development interventions including training and facilitation delivery

**Key Accountabilities**:

- Facilitate and lead Therapeutic Intervention and Planned Room Extraction training, for current and new Waypoint employees, students as required
- Deliver other identified security/safety training as required by organization
- As required, coordinate and schedule a group of internal certified instructors to ensure adequate backup training resources are in place for consistent, timely training delivery
- Stay abreast of professional trends, practices, legislation and organizational requirementsto ensure all training reflects current best practices and organizational needs
- Liaise with external training consultants to evaluate programs, trainer competence, and ensure identified training standards are met.
- In collaboration with learning compliance coordinator: maintain a database of all relevant information to track organizational training compliance and trainer certification; develop annual training calendar; compile accurate, timely reports as required.
- Participate on hospital teams and committees.

**Requirements/Qualifications**:

- A regulated healthcare professional licensed to practice in Ontario
- A recognized certificate, diploma or professional designation in teaching/training adults or adult education and learning
- Preference for recent and related experience both in a clinical role and as a facilitator of adult learning
- Proven intermediate/advanced level skills in Excel and databases
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience with therapeutic strategies/techniques and least restraint best practices
- Results oriented work ethic to work independently and undertake tasks needed to accomplish work objectives and deliver quality, consistent and timely results
- Demonstrated organizational, planning, interpersonal and presentation skills
- Proven written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to adapt readily to change
