Key Accountabilities:

- Facilitate and lead EHR new hire orientation, provider EHR training and other EHR-related training, for current and new Waypoint employees and students, as required.
- Deliver other identified EHR training as required by the organization.
- As required, coordinate and schedule training opportunities for EHR super users to ensure adequate backup training resources are in place for consistent, timely training delivery to frontline clinicians and providers.
- Stay abreast of professional trends, practices, legislation and organizational requirements to ensure all training reflects current best practices and organizational needs.
- Conducts user needs assessments and coordinates proactive and responsive training activities

Requirements/Qualifications:

- Healthcare Professional in good standing with applicable Regulatory college or applicable professional association (e.g. College of Nurses of Ontario, Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers, Therapeutic Recreation Ontario).
- A recognized certificate, diploma or professional designation in teaching/training adults or adult education/learning; or, two (2) years’ equivalent experience in designing and implementing education/training programs.
- Preference for recent and related experience both in a clinical role and as a facilitator of adult learning.
- Knowledge of Waypoint documentation policies, Interprofessional documentation standards, Meditech EHR functionality and clinical work flows.
- Demonstrated knowledge of relevant provincial and federal Legislation and guidelines (e.g. Mental Health Act, best practice guidelines) and an understanding of regulated and unregulated health professional scopes of practice.
- Proven computer literacy and intermediate/advanced skills in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) in order to enter data, create reports, presentation materials and other correspondence.
- Demonstrated organizational, planning, interpersonal and presentation skills
- Proven written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to adapt readily to change
