Back-up Forklift Driver

**Role Summary**:
The Fork Lift Driver is responsible for ensuring that material flow requirements are met in order to achieve production needs. This includes the supply of raw material and purchased parts, the movement of work in process and the removal of finished goods.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- The following is a more detailed listing of the Fork Lift Driver's responsibilities.- Ensure that work stations are supplied with raw material and work in process as required;
- Ensure that housekeeping standards are maintained and improved, specifically related to material storage;
- Ensure that bins are tagged and stored according to set standards;
- Update the computerized inventory system with material routing information according to procedure;
- Ensure that all safety requirements and regulations are adhered to when performing duties;
- Perform all required informal safety checks on a daily basis;
- Perform one documented safety check per day/truck;
- Report any accidents, incidents and/or fork lift damage immediately;
- Perform preventative maintenance on the fork lift and battery as documented through standard procedures;
- Follow FIFO process;

- Ensure that all safety requirements are being carried out when performing duties.
- Comply with defined Business Management and Environmental Management Systems requirements.
- Provide support for the continuous improvement initiatives within Techform.
- Provide support in the attainment of Techform's operating system goals as outlined by the key graphs.
- Carry out all duties focusing on the goal of internal and external customer satisfaction.
- Other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor or designate.

**Key Qualifications/Requirements**:

- Strong knowledge of Techform production processes
- Well-developed organizational skills as demonstrated by work habits
- Basic mathematical skills
- Above average attention to detail
- Good written and verbal communication skills are required
- Must be eligible to acquire an Ontario Driver’s License
