Pharmacy Compounding Lab Technician

**Responsibilities**:
- Perform NAPRA compliant non-sterile compounding duties, daily room cleaning, and inventory management
- Ability to mix creams and ointments, make capsules, suppositories, and troches. Laboratory experience is an asset as this position is lab based using scales, mixing equipment, and glassware
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time and follow written and verbal instructions
- Fast paced, deadline driven position
- Environment is supportive where multiple people have experience and are able to collaborate
- Collaborate with Pharmacists and Pharmacy Assistants to fulfill prescription orders
- Work Independently is a necessity
- Verify that customer receives correct prescription(s)
- Prepare/review and process billings, claims, disbursements and related documents;
- Assist patients who are picking up prescriptions;
- Enter prescriptions into the computer; retrieve and/or correct data in computer;
- Order, maintain and prepare inventory of medications
- Review invoices or other documentation;
- Pack and ship prescription orders;
- Receive and maintain accurate inventory.

- Excellent knowledge of pharmacy operations
- Understanding Kroll Paperless Workflow Software is a Plus
- Demonstrated excellence in customer service
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- Effective interpersonal skills to work within a multi-disciplinary team
- Effective organizational skills; attention to detail
- Ability to consistently meet deadlines
- Excellent problem-solving skills to resolve issues effectively and efficiently

- Previous experience working in a pharmacy setting is an asset
- Knowledge of medication administration and patient care
- Compounding interest and/ or experience including math skills & motivation to learn
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

- Proficient computer skills for data entry and processing insurance claims
**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
