**Compensation**: $27.94 per hour plus annual accrual of 3 weeks vacation, 3 float days, 10 wellness days and comprehensive benefits package, including RRSP matching following a three-month waiting period

**Location**: London, ON

**Schedule**: 32-40 scheduled hours per week; varied shifts may including evenings, weekends and public holidays

**Please be advised: A Class G (full) Driver’s Licence and reliable vehicle is mandatory for this position.**

**Summary of Roles & Responsibilities**:

- Coordinate day-to-day operations of a short-term live-in environment supporting participants navigate critical transitions in their lives
- Oversee activities such as teaching, mentoring, and planning staff work, supporting the team when crisis occurs, general administration (e.g., petty cash, completing intake packages, managing reports)
- Communicate and interact with colleagues and supervisors, participants and families, as well as community partners
- Provide a safe and supportive environment for participants; remain calm and focused in crisis situations while utilizing effective de-escalation and decision-making skills
- Direct support including, but not limited to medical administration, teaching of life skills, facilitation of groups, assistance with activities of daily living, response to urgent situations, household tasks (such as cooking, cleaning, general maintenance), and other activities in compliance with legislated requirements and company policies and procedures
- Conduct intake screening interviews, tours, assessments, admissions, and orientation of new youth on site as required
- Work successfully with diverse groups and demonstrate commitment to principles of equity, diversity, inclusion, and justice

**Qualifications**:

- Completion of post-secondary education in related human services field (e.g., DSW, SSW, CYC, Social Sciences, BSW, Police Foundations)
- 3-5 years’ experience in relevant field supporting people with specialized needs utilizing a variety of counselling skills
- Demonstrated understanding of requirements specific to the roles and responsibilities of the job
- Strong rapport-building, mentorship, advocacy, organization, communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills, in addition to attention to detail
- Ability to work independently in a high stress environment
- Capacity to establish, implement, and maintain professional, and personal boundaries
- Multilingualism and having diverse lived experiences are considered assets

**Requirements**:

- Valid Class G (full) Driver’s License with a 3-year Uncertified Driver Record
- Satisfactory current Police Vulnerable Sector Check
- Physical Health assessment: verification of up-to-date immunizations, negative TB Skin test (within the last 6 months), COVID vaccination status (2 doses), and ability to meet the physical and psychological requirements of the position
- Current Standard First Aid & CPR, Level C with AED training preferred
