**What You’ll Do**

At Litco Law, we are obsessed with providing mind-blowing client service. We are always finding new ways to serve our clients and support them throughout their injury claim, real estate needs, and wills and estates requirements. We rely on our **Legal Assistants** to provide high-quality client service alongside strong administrative and operational support to our lawyers.
- Manage and maintain files in a logical and orderly manner including accurately documenting all data in our file management software
- Assist with the efficient and effective movement of client files
- Maintain client contact at least once every 30 days, responding to all client inquiries within 24 hours
- Meet with clients to swear/affirm and sign documents, to provide updates, or to answer questions as required
- Follow instructions from lawyer and accurately transcribe lawyer dictation
- Close residential real estate transactions (purchase, sales, refinances) independently
- Review and preparation of mortgage documents based on lender requirements
- Direct communication with Clients, Mortgage Brokers, Financial Institutions, and Real Estate Agents
- Analyze title searches
- Prepare cheque requisitions and depositing of funds
- Completion of reporting to clients and financial institutions upon closing
- Manage schedule for assigned lawyer including booking travel, questionings, JDRs, client meetings, etc. as necessary
- Assist with set up and tear down of meeting rooms for client meetings as needed
- Work collaboratively with the team to provide assistance and coverage on other client files as necessary

**Who You Are**
- Are adaptable and quick to identify issues or needs, and can accommodate last minute requests and situations
- Are capable of proactively anticipating needs and reacting quickly through developing an analytical approach and thorough understanding of the business
- Are highly knowledgeable and efficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Are a self-starter and demonstrate a history of holding yourself accountable
- Have experience with Alberta Land Titles and their operating system requirements, including searches, registrations, and filing
- Experience with Unity is an asset
- Have 2+ years of real estate experience
- Have completed a Legal Assistant Diploma/Certificate from a recognized institute
