**Job Overview for a Business Development Manager**

Reporting to the Director of Sales. We are looking for an outgoing, and detail-oriented person to work closely with our Sales and Catering team to capture all opportunities to grow new group business.

**Duties and Responsibilities**

Specific job knowledge, skills, and abilities:

- The individual must possess the following knowledge, and skills, and be able to demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job:_
- Demonstrates excellent selling skills, strong communication skills, and a detailed understanding of property operations, Food and Beverage, and Event planning.
- Responds to RFPs, inquiries, proposals, and contracts on time.
- Develop and continually enhance relationships with new and existing customers.
- Conduct a SWOT analysis on hotel competitors and do reader boards weekly.
- Work and collaborate with the operations team to ensure a seamless handover.
- Solicit and negotiate business with new and existing clients through various efforts such as regular outside sales calls and daily prospecting for business referrals and networking.
- Maximize room revenue and meeting space events to meet and exceed goals.
- Participate in monthly evening corporate events.
- Must be willing to travel to other cities and participate in tradeshows and Sales trips.

**Salary**: $65,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
