**This role is based in Montreal and responsible for supporting the retail stores in Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Quebec and Ontario (7 stores in total).**

**The Role**

Reporting to Vice-President, Retail Operations, the Regional Retail Manager (Bilingual) leads, coaches and mentors, Store Senior Staff teams in assigned region, to meet standards within MEC’s strategic direction and to deliver business objectives which include exceptional member satisfaction levels. A Regional Retail Manager is accountable for store performance and is the key link between communication from the Head Office and stores and plays a key role in partnering with the leadership teams to build a high-performing and engaging culture.

**Leadership**: Ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve results. Strong leadership skills with a focus on coaching, mentoring, and developing store managers and Staffers

**Strategic Planning**: Proven ability to develop and implement strategic plans to achieve sales targets and drive business growth. Experience analyzing market trends, identifying opportunities, and developing strategies to capitalize on them.

**Sales Management**: Demonstrated track record of driving sales performance and exceeding targets. Ability to analyze sales data, identify trends, and implement initiatives to maximize sales and profitability.

**Operational Excellence**: Strong understanding of retail operations, including inventory management, merchandising, and store operations. Experience implementing processes and procedures to ensure operational efficiency and effectiveness.

**Customer Focus**: Commitment to delivering exceptional customer service. Ability to anticipate customer needs, resolve issues promptly, and create a positive shopping experience for customers.

**Financial Acumen**: Solid understanding of financial metrics and KPIs. Ability to analyze financial reports, manage budgets, and make data-driven decisions to achieve business objectives.

**Communication Skills**: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels, including senior management, store teams, and external partners.

**Leads, Develops and Inspires People**:Demonstrates the ability to develop and implement plans to maximize staffer performance, while balancing empathy. Fosters high ethical standards in meeting MEC’s vision, mission, purpose, and goals.

**Takes an Operational Approach**:Looks, plans, and moves into the future with clear intentions and purposeful actions, and makes decision that will lead your store toward its future objectives. Demonstrates the ability to develop and implement vision for their own respective store/department and incorporates that vision into MEC’s core values.

**Communicates and Builds Partnerships**:Demonstrates the ability to explain and advocates facts and ideas in a convincing manner while communicating and negotiating with individuals and groups both internally and externally. Leverages internal and external networks to help solve issues and identifies the internal and external forces that impact MEC.

**Drives Results**:Demonstrates the ability to make timely and effective decisions and produces results through planning and the implementation and evaluation of operation, people and culture programs and plans.

**Champions Change and Innovation**:Fosters a work environment that encourages creative thinking and the ability to maintain focus, intensity, and persistence, even under adversity.

**Qualifications**
- Post-secondary degree in related discipline or equivalent experience.
- 7-10 years management experience in a retail fashion, soft goods or hard goods, or service chain environment.
- Track record of driving sales and profitability in multi-store environment
