Chilliwack is a thriving and growing community situated in the beautiful Upper Fraser Valley, just 90 minutes from Vancouver on the Sto: lo' unceded traditional territory of the Pilalt, Sema: th and Ts’elxweyeqw tribes. The school district is well known for its dedication to quality educational programs, its effective collaboration with community, parents, students and employee groups and its fiscal responsibility. The District has approximately 14,000 students with approximately 2000 teaching, administrative, managerial and support staff.

THE POSITION

This is a full-time excluded staff position effective immediately. The Human Resources Coordinator will be responsible for:
return to work/disability management coordination supporting the HR Managers with occupational and non-occupational medical leaves, gradual return to work plans and return to work plans

recruitment coordination supporting the HR Managers with recruitment, selection, orientation and onboarding of casual support staff and teachers teaching on call

assisting with the support staff job evaluation/job description process

assisting with tracking and metrics to support reporting and analytics

assisting with the establishment and maintenance of human resource systems and procedures

maintaining confidential filing systems

providing confidential administrative support to Human Resources Management Team related to core human resources functions.

THE APPLICANT

**Preference will be given to applicants who possess**:
post-secondary diploma or certificate in Human Resources Management and/or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience

minimum of 3 years recent and relevant experience with evidence of progression of responsibility for human resources administrative support

extensive experience with the Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and Power Point

ability to set priorities, adapt processes and procedures, manage multiple projects, analyze data and prepare reports

excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills with proven ability to build effective working relationships, including working as a member of a team
