ONE YEAR TERM POSITION: SADD SASKATCHEWAN SCHOOL/COMMUNITY OUTREACH COORIDNATOR

STUDENTS AGAINST DRINKING AND DIVING [SADD] SASKATCHEWAN IS A VOLUNTEER BASED NON PROFIT ORGANIZATION. OUR MISSION IS TO STOP DRINKING AND DRIVING AND THE DEATHS AND INJURIES THAT RESULT. WE ARE LED BY A BOARD OF DIRECTORS AND A PROVINCIAL DIRECTOR AND FUNDED THROUGH A YEARLY OPERATING GRANT FROM SGI. ATONOMOUS SADD CHAPTERS ARE SET UP IN SCHOOLS ACROSS THE PROVINCE WITH EACH CONDUCTING AWARENESS CAMPAIGNS IN THEIR LOCAL COMMUNITIES.

JOB DESCRIPTION: THE SCHOOL/COMMUNITY OUTREACH COORDINATOR WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR STARTING NEW SADD CHAPTERS IN SCHOOLS ACROSS SASKATCHEWAN. THIS WILL BE ACCOMPLISHED BY COORDINATING SCHOOL VISTS AND MAKING PRESENTATIONS TO TEACHERS AND STUDENTS. YOU WILL BE EXPEXTED TO HELP WITH THE CREATION OF AND IMPLEMENTATION OF RESOURCES AND SUPPORTS FOR CHAPTERS. YOU WILL ALSO BE PROVIDING START UP MATERIALS AND BE RESPONSIBLE FOR MENTORING THE NEW CHAPTERS. YOU WILL HAVE AN UNDERSTANDING OF SOCIAL MEDIA AND MARKETING PLANS TO HELP SUPPORT CHAPTERS. FURTHER YOU WILL HAVE AN UNDERSTANDING OF SOCIAL MEDIA MARKETING TO HELP PROMOTE SADD SASKATCHEWAN ON VARIOUS CHANNELS. ATTENDANCE AT SCHOOL/TEACHER CONVENTIONS MAY BE REQUIRED ON AN ONGOING BASIS. GOOD COMMUNICATION AND INTER PERSON SKILLS WILL BE A REQUIREMENT OF THE POSITION. YOU WILL BE ABLE TO ENGAGE AND MOTIVATE SCHOOLS TO UTILIZE IMPAIRED DRIVING KNOWLEDGE WITHIN THEIR SCHOOLS THROUGH ACTIVITIES AND INITIATIVES. YOU WILL ALSO BE RESEARCHING INNOVATIVE TRAFFIC SAFETY IDEAS AND PROGRAMS FOR YOUTH MEDIA ACTIVITIES AND PROGRAMS. EXTENSIVE TRAVEL WILL BE REQUIRED WITHIN THE PROVINCE. WORKING FROM YOUR RESIDENCE YOUR WORK HOURS WILL BE FLEXIBLE ON A WEEKLY BASIS AND DEPENDENT ON VISITATION SCHEDULES YOU DEVELOP.

SALARY: $50,000 PER YEAR PLUS TRAVEL ALLOWANCE. ONE YEAR TERM POSITION MAY BE EXPANDED TO FULL TIME EMPLOYMENT DEPENDING ON FUNDING.

- YOU ARE ABLE TO IDENTIFY AND COLLABORATE WITH EXTERNAL SOURCES, LOCAL ORGANIZATIONS, LAW ENFORCEMENT AND PROVINCIAL AGENCIES.
- YOU ARE ABLE TO WORK INDEPENDENTLY AND AS PART OF A TEAM TO ACHIEVE GOALS.
- YOU HAVE THE ABILITY TO PLAN, ORGANIZE AND SCHEDULE MEETINGS/PRESENTATIONS AS REQUIRED.
- YOU HAVE AN OUTGOING PERSONALITY AND ACCEPT CHALLENGES.
- YOU HAVE A POST SECONDARY DEGREE OR EQUIVALENT KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE THAT WOULD BE CONSIDERED AN ASSET TO THE POSITION.

LOCATION: SADD SASKATCHEWAN HAS AN OFFICE LOCATED AT #201 1275 BROAD STREET IN REGINA. THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE THE ABILITY TO WORK REMOTELY FROM THEIR HOME, A LAPTOP CAN BE PROVIDED.
