**About Academy**

Academy is a well-established and fast-growing fabrication company with location in both Onoway and Edmonton, AB. We service a wide rage of industries which includes oil & gas, mining, and other heavy industrial sectors.

**Job Purpose**

The Office Administrator is responsible for assisting with all Academy Human Resources functions as well as payroll processes, computing wages, and ensuring that employees’ salaries are paid correctly and on schedule.

**Roles and Responsibilities**

Office Duties
- Answering, screening and forwarding incoming calls
- Welcomes visitors to the office and directing inquiries
- Order office supplies and maintain an inventory
- Assist in organizing company events and running errands to accommodate the companies needs
- Assisting multiple departments with data compilation, filing, and scanning
- Act as primary liaison between the company, staff, and external contacts, providing information, answering questions, and responding to requests
- Achieve organizational goals while maintaining an efficient, productive, and positively cultured office and employee experience

Payroll and HR Duties
- General HR documentation compilation (scanning, data entry, history recovery)
- Follow procedures for record retention for HR and Payroll
- Maintains employee information
- Effectively acts as the liaison for Edmonton employees
- Assists with the recruitment process
- Creating and amending Employee Agreements
- Assists with employee communication
- Assists with benefits administration
- Maintain WCB program by managing automatic clearance notifications
- Processing the Company’s Annual Return with WCB
- Assists with the complete payroll processing of union and non-union employees within Dayforce HCM
- Processing Year End within Dayforce HCM

Safety Duties
- Provide administrative support to the HSE team
- Perform data entry on various reports to ensure all records are up to date; logging and tracking submitted BBO reports; maintaining employee training certification matrix, and any required paper inspection reports

**Requirements**:
Education
- High school diploma is required

**Qualifications**:

- Proficiency in MS Office including Excel, Word, and Access are preferred
- Customer service experience is an asset

**Skills**:

- Highly motivated with the ability to work within a fast-paced environment and maintain a high-volume workload
- Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills
- Computer literacy is mandatory
- Exceptional organizational and multi-tasking skills that are complimented by effective interpersonal, oral and written communication

**Salary**: $19.00-$23.00 per hour
