**What YOU Will Do**

**Job summary**:
Reporting to the _Senior Director, Logistics, Equipment and Procurement_, will be responsible for overseeing the purchasing and procurement process within their respective region. The incumbent is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with local suppliers to get the best pricing. They will also act as the primary point of contact for site equipment and/or supply requests, and delegate the requests to the correct contact within the fleet department and ensure that the requests are tracked. They will work closely with colleagues in the fleet department, their colleagues procurement department, and regional construction sites. To be successful in this role, the incumbent is always looking though a lens focused on process improvement for efficiency and cost-reductions, while providing quality supplies equipment and service to their client groups.

**Responsibilities**:

- Ensure the quality of the logistics services provided meet the expectations of the client groups served, follow up where required and make recommendations to improve performance;
- Demonstrate critical thinking and exercise sound judgement when looking at requests from regional jobsites;
- Process all site requests for their region and ensure they are distributed to the correct service departments;
- Make a minimum of monthly/bi-monthly visits to jobsites to ensure good working relationships and validate that the service provided meets the clients’ needs;
- Fill out requests for equipment and consumables to be sent from the warehouse or yard connected to the client’s respective region;
- Act as the liaison for local suppliers for corporate accounts;
- Depending on the regional volume, the coordinator may make certain purchases by purchase order, while always maintaining contact with the category specialist;
- They will attend each site kick-off meeting so as to fully understand the issues at stake for each client;
- Answer requests from the preconstruction department as it pertains to average pricing for commonly used equipment for bids;
- Validate performance indicators in relation to customer service.

**What YOU Will Bring**
- Background or experience in the construction industry is required;
- Five (5) years of experience in construction procurement and/or sales would be considered an asset;
- Proficient with computers and typing;
- High level of customer service;
- Bilingual (English and French) would be considered an asset;
- Excellent communication skills, able to build and maintain working relationships;
- Displays a high level of autonomy, initiative, and is solutions focused;
- Able to deal with last-minute requests, as required;
- Prepared to travel within the Greater Toronto Area, as required.
