The Philanthropy & Events Associate supports a multifaceted events portfolio led by the Director, Fundraising and Association Events. Responsibilities include executing significant day-to-day fundraising, stewardship, and cultivation logistics, digital communications, and administrative activities, and achievement of revenue targets for an employee giving campaign and Third Party fundraising.
**In this role, you will**:
- Execute and support logistics for existing and new Cultivation, Stewardship and Association activities and events; responsible for coordinating guest lists, invitations and RSVPs, and materials
- Achieve revenue and participant engagement targets for a new Peer-to-Peer fundraising event and the long-standing employee giving campaign _Y Staff Give_
- Responsible for distributing promotional materials and incentive prizes, reconciling and reporting revenues, maintaining a donation platform, and producing social media content
- Achieve the revenue target for third party fundraising events by stewarding current third-party fundraisers and responding to inquiries while maintaining digital marketing channels
- Offer administrative support for Major Gift stewardship and for Planned Giving, including providing material and meeting support to volunteer committees
- Perform other duties as assigned
**You bring**:
- Post-secondary or equivalent formal education, or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the supporting event logistics
- Experience coordinating logistics for meetings and events including managing RSVPs, working with event vendors and suppliers, and developing/maintaining critical paths
- Knowledge of Raisin Fundraising platform and Campaign Monitor is an asset
- Experience with digital communications, including social media production
- Some experience working with budgets
- Ability to work independently while capable of working with internal and external partners
- Ability to work under deadlines
- Attention to detail
- Strong organization and time management skills
- Excellent computer skills; experience with the Raisers Edge database an asset. Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Publisher an asset)
- Access to a valid driver’s license and vehicle an asset
- Thoughtful and capable of maintaining confidentiality
- Excellent understanding of diversity, inclusion and equity including the ability to identify and address barriers in fundraising, work effectively with diverse stakeholders, and integrate equity into program design
