Fraser Health is responsible for the delivery of hospital and community-based health services from Burnaby to Fraser Canyon on the traditional, ancestral and unceded territories of the Coast Salish and Nlaka’pamux Nations, and is home to six Métis Chartered Communities.

As the Client Partner, Violence Prevention, you will play a pivotal role in supporting Fraser Health's vision, values, purpose, and commitments by championing a Violence Prevention program that ensures the safety and well-being of everyone within our healthcare environment.

**Here's what you'll be doing**:
1. Program Development: You'll assist in developing comprehensive Violence Prevention programs, including policies, work procedures, education, training, risk identification, assessment procedures, and incident reporting protocols.

2. Education and Training: You'll design and facilitate various Violence Prevention education programs tailored to the needs of different healthcare settings, ensuring staff are equipped to identify and manage risks effectively.

3. Clinical Leadership: Providing clinical leadership, you'll support departments in addressing specific issues related to aggressive behavior, offering guidance and solutions to enhance safety measures.

4. Monitoring and Evaluation: You'll develop and oversee reporting and audit systems to monitor the effectiveness of Violence Prevention initiatives, ensuring goals and objectives are met and continually improved upon.

5. Communication Strategy: Developing a robust communication strategy, you'll ensure that Violence Prevention objectives are effectively communicated across Fraser Health, fostering a culture of safety and accountability.

6. Progress Reporting: You'll present documented results to the Fraser Health Regional Violence Prevention Committee, keeping stakeholders informed about the progress and outcomes of program initiatives.

7. Budget Management: You'll develop timelines and make budget recommendations for Violence Prevention activities, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently to support program objectives.

8. Stakeholder Engagement: You'll liaise with department managers, supervisors, staff, and external agencies such as WorkSafeBC, fostering collaborative relationships to enhance workplace safety.

**To excel in this role, you'll need**:

- A Bachelor's degree in a health-related discipline and a professional designation inclusive of specialized training in occupational health & safety.
- Three to five years of recent, progressive experience in health and safety, preferably within a large complex organization, with a strong working knowledge of violence prevention programs.
- A valid BC Driver's license and access to a personal vehicle for business-related purposes.

Detailed Overview:
**Supporting the Vision, Values, Purpose and Commitments of Fraser Health including service delivery that is centered around patients/clients/residents and families**:
Reporting to the Leader, Regional Initiatives, Workplace Health, the Client Partner, Violence Prevention is responsible for assisting with Violence Prevention program development including implementation and evaluation of the Violence Prevention program across Fraser Health.

**Responsibilities**:

- Assists Violence Prevention program development including policies, work procedures, education & training, risk identification and assessment procedures, communication of risk and reporting and documenting of aggressive incidents.
- Responsible for the development and facilitation of various Violence Prevention education programs including risk specific curriculums for acute care, community and residential programs.
- Provides clinical leadership for the Violence Prevention program and assists departments in troubleshooting specific issues related to aggressive behaviour.
- Provides leadership and development of reporting and audit systems to monitor the ongoing effectiveness of the goals and objectives of the Violence Prevention program.
