Job Summary

We have an exciting Full Time opportunity for a Client Partner, Violence Prevention to join our team at Central City Tower located in Surrey, B.C.

In this role you will:

  1. Assists Violence Prevention program development including policies, work procedures, education & training, risk identification and assessment procedures, communication of risk and reporting and documenting of aggressive incidents.
  2. Responsible for the development and facilitation of various Violence Prevention education programs including risk specific curriculums for acute care, community and residential programs.
  3. Provides clinical leadership for the Violence Prevention program and assists departments in troubleshooting specific issues related to aggressive behaviour.
  4. Supports development of reporting and audit systems to monitor the ongoing effectiveness of the goals and objectives of the Violence Prevention program.
  5. Supports development of communication strategies to ensure success of Violence Prevention program objectives.
  6. Provides clinical leadership in partnership with department managers to complete Violence Risk Assessments per WSBC regulations and Provincial standards.
  7. Liaises with department managers, supervisors, staff and external agencies such as WorkSafe BC.

Detailed Overview

Supporting the Vision, Values, Purpose and Commitments of Fraser Health including service delivery that is centered around patients/clients/residents and families:

Reporting to the Leader, Regional Initiatives, Workplace Health, the Client Partner, Violence Prevention is responsible for assisting with Violence Prevention program development including implementation and evaluation of the Violence Prevention program across Fraser Health.

Responsibilities

  1. Assists Violence Prevention program development including policies, work procedures, education & training, risk identification and assessment procedures, communication of risk and reporting and documenting of aggressive incidents.
  2. Responsible for the development and facilitation of various Violence Prevention education programs including risk specific curriculums for acute care, community and residential programs.

  4. Provides leadership and development of reporting and audit systems to monitor the ongoing effectiveness of the goals and objectives of the Violence Prevention program.
  5. Develops a communication strategy to ensure success of Violence Prevention program objectives.
  6. Presents documented results to Fraser Health Regional Violence Prevention Committee on the progress and outcomes of Violence Prevention program initiatives.
  7. Develops timelines and makes recommendations of budget for Violence Prevention program activities.
  8. Liaises with department managers, supervisors, staff and external agencies such as WorkSafe BC.
Qualifications

Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree in a health-related discipline and a professional designation inclusive of specialized training in occupational health & safety from a recognized educational institution, supplemented with three (3) to five (5) years' recent related progressive health and safety experience in a large complex organization and working knowledge of violence prevention programs, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Valid BC Driver's license and access to a personal vehicle for business-related purposes.

  • Demonstrated understanding of violence prevention theory and application.

  • Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
