Manager, Simulation Centre Operations

**Purpose**:
The Manager, Simulation Centre Operations role manages the operations for the NSC and provides leadership and direction for daily functions and performance of staff, volunteers, and co-op students. The role also oversees activities that use sophisticated equipment and software, supports clinical simulations to ensure learning outcomes are met and produces measurable outcomes to support inter-professional learning experiences.The role reports to the Manager, Resources and Planning, with consultation and academic direction from the Director, Nursing Simulation Centre (NSC) to facilitate students' development of clinical skills to meet undergraduate and graduate students' course and program outcomes.
**Education**:
Bachelor's degree in a related discipline, preferably in a science or healthcare discipline.
Certification in healthcare simulation is an asset.
**Experience**:
4 years' related experience.
2 years management or supervisory experience.
Experience working in a healthcare setting is an asset.
Experience with simulation technology is an asset
**Skills**:
Effective knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Access at the intermediate level).
Leadership or management skills, preferably in a unionized environment.
Effective communication, team building, conflict resolution, and interpersonal skills.
Effective organizational and problem-solving skills.
Effective client service orientation.
Ability to multi-task and willingness to adapt and change to a learning environment

Works within a typical office environment.
- **Compensation**:
York's CPM Compensation Framework has a salary grid consisting of 6 or 8 steps (depending on job grade) which is reviewed annually with possible adjustments, and a lump sum Performance Based Recognition Award. Employees will receive the grid adjustment and depending on performance, eligible permanent employees may move to the next step of the grid and may receive a lump sum Performance Based Recognition Award.Visit the CPM Compensation page on the HR Website to find out more about York's CPM Compensation Program.
