Business Development Manager

Triton Environmental Consultants Ltd is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic **Business Development Manager** to accelerate its fast-growing Canadian presence. This role will be focused on bringing in new business opportunities and expanding on existing client relationships and new services lines.
**About Triton Environmental Consultants Ltd**:
- Generating new business opportunities in support of the Director of Business Development
- Liaise with existing and prospective clients, including responding to requests for information, quotes and proposals and attending meetings to discuss and develop new opportunities.
- Provide mentorship and training to Project Managers and ensure company expectations for sales are being met
- Monitor the success of Business Development efforts
- Review proposals prior to submission and ensure satisfaction of clients post delivery
- Provide input into annual budgeting
- Regularly identify and submit issues/concerns or opportunities for improvement to the sales and marketing and operations teams
- Identify, recommend, and develop procedures for the company
- Working collaboratively within Triton corporate culture
**SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS**
- Degree or diploma in a related field (environmental science, biology, agrology, ecology)
- Business/Management courses, diploma or degree would be considered an asset
- 5+ years of experience in environmental, consulting fields and/or relevant industry experience
- Experience in sales and business development
- Experience in budgeting and cost controls and relevant software
- Ability to anticipate problems before they arise
- Ability to prepare and make comprehensive presentations, participate in formal debate, and communicate professionally before an audience
- Comprehensive network of Industry and government contacts
- Ability to work in a team setting
- Strong leadership skills (mentoring, coaching, leading)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong understanding of budget and revenue tracking
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
