**Position Summary**:
The Payroll Analyst audits the integrity and accuracy of all transactional Human Resources (HR) data entered in Oracle and interfaced to ADP (e.g. transactional processing of employee life-cycle changes, administration of payroll, pension, benefits, etc.), manages and reconciles remittances, and partners with the Centers of Excellence (COEs) and HR Operations to streamline delivery of HR across ATCO. The successful applicant will also execute and support consistent procedures and processes for the entire organization.

**Bi-weekly and Monthly payroll**
- Manage the time and attendance system (Kronos) and assist timekeepers as required.
- Audit all employee data changes and pay-related changes (taxes, salary increases or benefits) within Oracle HCM.
- Manage several Payroll & Demographics interfaces between Kronos, Oracle HCM and ADP systems.
- Complete audit and reconciliation of the payroll employee data for several Canadian projects as well as US and Expat International locations.
- Audit employee benefits changes entered in Oracle by the Employee Resources Center processing team every pay period to ensure integrity and accuracy of employee benefit and pension information.
- Audit Flex benefits deductions and retro reports sent by third party providers.
- Analyze all Collective Agreements and validate information in Oracle.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of bi-weekly & monthly payroll.
- Create reports from payroll systems (Kronos, Oracle, ADP etc.) for analysis.
- Provide recommendations on improvement of processes and internal controls.
- Contribute to the improvement of processes and internal controls.
- Liaise with other departments such as IBM, HRIS, finance, accounting, etc. (regarding Group Life Insurance processes, configuration testing etc.
- Provide back up support for other payroll team members.

**Payroll Year-End**
- Reconcile and provides year-end taxable benefit adjustments to ADP.
- Reconcile year-end adjustments as required to ensure accurate year-end reporting.
- Answer employees' questions regarding T4 s and requests amendments from ADP where required.
- Final payroll earnings, GST etc. reporting to various departments.

**Reporting**
- Run reports from Time & Labor systems (Kronos) to ensure the accuracy and that all applicable timecards are entered.
- Download and run final audit reports from ADP to ensure the accurate processing of payrolls on a bi-weekly basis.

**Qualifications**:
Our successful applicant will be able to demonstrate the following:

- Completion of a post-secondary diploma or degree in Business Administration or a related field
- An active Payroll Compliance Professional (PCP) designation.
- Between 5-7 years of payroll or HRIS administration experience with completion of CPA coursework, or 7 years of accounting/accounts payable experience with interest in pursuing a career in Payroll Administration.
- A Payroll Leadership Professional designation is considered an asset, but is not required.
