**_The Opportunity_**

The sales manager is responsible for the development and performance of all sales activities in the Canadian market. Lead and develop sales team and provides leadership towards the achievement of growth and profitability in line with company vision and values. Contributes to the development of regional targets as well as targets by Account Manager and by Customer. Works collaboratively to develop the business and focus on growth with existing customers and prospects. Develop sales strategies by province, segment or by play/basin to introduce new products/processes that differentiate Flexpipe. Actively seeks opportunities to increase margins and decrease DSO. Develop strategic relationships with key decision makers within the energy sector at both operators and other service providers.

**_In this role you will:_**
- Supports/leads setting annual, quarterly, and monthly forecast by unit and revenue. This includes analyzing results and updating forecasts based on any new trends. Work with Applications Engineering, Product Management and Marketing on tactics and strategies to support targets and growth.
- Establishes sales objectives and develops annual sales quotas for account managers and customers. This may include projecting expected sales volumes, revenues, and margins. This role will also be accountable for helping establish forecasts for new products or services and providing voice of the customer information to the organization to allow for development of products that would be readily accepted by the market.
- Makes recommendations selling prices by monitoring costs, competitive intel, and supply and demand market dynamics. This will also include recommending inventory mix for pipe, fittings, consumables and providing forecast info to field service to allow for proper staffing levels for field technicians and levels of rental equipment. Keeping current with industry trends, KPI's, economic indicators, and competitors will help keep the company well positioned in the region.
- Maintain a high performing team of account manager and business development professionals. This will include following up on individual performance and regular check-ins on progress to goals and objectives.
- Maintains a high performing sales staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
- Maintains national sales staff job results by counseling and coaching employees, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

**_SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:_**
- Minimum 2-year college or equivalent combination education and experience is required
- 3-5 years of progressive sales experience
- Technical skills with specific strengths in sales
- Strong financial and business acumen, an understanding of the needs of the business and the ability to link policies and programs to the business objectives
- Strategic capability, proven critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment would be an asset
- Positive, “can-do” attitude providing an ability to deal with challenging situations
- Displays creative and flexible problem solving skills
- Strong organizational skills, discipline and attention to details
- An individual of unquestioned business ethics and personal integrity
- Excellent verbal, written and relationship management skills, ability to interact at all levels of the organization
